The UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women (UN Trust Fund) is a testimony to the global consciousness that violence against women and girls is neither inevitable nor acceptable.
A leading grant-making mechanism exclusively dedicated to addressing the global pandemic of violence against women and girls, the UN Trust Fund is managed by UN Women on behalf of the UN system. It supports effective initiatives that demonstrate that violence against women and girls can be systematically addressed, reduced and, with persistence, eliminated.
To date, the Fund has delivered over $78 million to 339 initiatives in 127 countries. By supporting actions where they matter most – at local and national levels – the UN Trust Fund is uniquely placed to meet the most urgent needs of women and girls and their communities.
